Care and Maintenance Information:

Please ensure that your knife is cleaned before the first use. A Jamsoi knife will bring you many years of convenience cutting things with such an ease.

But you must do the following to retain the effectiveness of the knife:

  1. Remove the ceramic knife from its knife cover or block
  2. Use it by cutting straight on the cutting board
  3. Rinse & wipe after each use
  4. Place it back in knife cover or block

This simple procedure will prevent accident caused by the knife sitting on a counter, in a sink, or else where and it getting damaged.

Care & Use:

  • Very ideal for straight cuts of different types of fruits, vegetables and boneless meats.
  • Always use with a plastic or wooden cutting board.
  • Hand wash rinse & wipe (Can use a mild bleach solution for blade discoloration)
  • Store it in a knife block or in its cover in the cutlery tray.

Things to Avoid:

  • Do not cut foods with thick shin such as pumpkin, pineapples, nuts, roots, block cheese and frozen foods.
  • Do not carve, pry or bone as it involves twisting and flexing that requires a more flexible material than ceramic.
  • Never drop the ceramic knife on hard surfaces including in the sink.
  • Avoid hitting against china or flatware.
  • Do not put in the dishwasher as hand washing is recommended.
  • Never put the blade in open flames as ceramic conducts heat.
  • Do not scrape hard surfaces.
  • Avoid turning the blade on its side to smash garlic or other items.
  • Avoid cutting on glass, plates, marble or tile.
  • Do not apply force to the side of the blade.

Storage:

  • Store the knife in a knife block or in its cover to place back in the cutlery tray.
  • Care should be taken when storing and removing the, knife from a knife block to avoid tip damage.
  • By placing any knife upright (Sharp edge up) or sideways in a knife block reduces wear to the knife edge.

Came sharp, cut things

They came sharp out of the box, and cut things. Stropping them first would have made a very nice edge. Happy with the purchase, nice handles, decent balance.

These knives are great! I wanted a few to get myself started on a set with out breaking the bank, but also good quality. Love them and am super happy I went for them!
As a professional restaurant chef , with proper knife handling and maintanence these knives wont need sharpening for 6 months to a tear. another fine product.

Nice quality knives. I'm pleased with this good quality set as described. Sharp. Nice to finally have a good set of knives.
These are the last knives you will need to buy. They will last forever, barring accidents (and it needs to be a pretty big and powerful accident), and just require occasional maintenance, no more than is expected of any knives.
In case your questioning it the knives come out of the box sharp as ever and they are not loose and they have a nice feel to the handle when places in your hand, it’s a very nice basic knife set and it matches my kitchen easily
The set of knives serve different use. There are very sharp and easy to use for slicing vegetable, meat as well as fruit. The handle is well-designed and easy to hold. You won't feel tired after holding it for a while.
The knives are okay.
